As a local venue proprietor, I am constantly on the lookout
for new and talented acts. Though the interest in live music in the
Lehigh Valley has waned in the past years, the talent of our local
musicians has not. There are many 'diamonds in the rough' right here in
the ABE area. We have many established acts, like Todd Wolfe, BC and
The Blues Crew, and Jake Kaligas, as well as talented up-and-coming
young bands, such as The Teeth and Insidious Rays. As a musician
myself, my house band, Greezy Chitlins, has run an open jam at our
establishment, The Tally-Ho, for over 4 years now, and we have had
countless local talents join us on our stage. Mr. Ian Bruce and the
entire Lehigh Valley Music Awards staff should be magnanimously
commended for their commitment to local music and musicians. They know
the scene extremely well, and both give and garner support for all
local bands and acts. Mr. Bruce, not only do we greatly appreciate
being included in your nominations, but we, and I, are extremely
grateful for The Music Awards spearheading the advancement and upkeep
of the entire local music scene in the Lehigh Valley. Thank you all for
all that you do, and congratulations on another successful Awards
ceremony!
Sincerely,

I just wanted to thank you (and everyone else involved) for
this year's Music Awards. This was the first one I've attended and it
was very surreal to see all of these great performers in one place
celebrating the music that we all make. You never really know just how
much talent we have here in the Valley until you see everyone together
and it was evident last Monday.
Thanks so much for everything you've done to celebrate and support the
local music scene. If there's anything you need in the future please
don't hesitate to let me know.

It was a pleasure to attend my first LVMA. I was both
surprised and honored to receive an award, as it was icing on the cake
to an already pleasurable evening. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed,
not only the talent of other Lehigh Valley performers, but the chance
to just sit, relax and enjoy being entertained for a change.
All too often performers are recognized everywhere except in their own
home towns, but thanks to the hard work and dedication of those
involved in the LVMA and other media here in the valley, a hot bed of
past and present talent, groups and performers are being noticed and
honored. On behalf of other musicians and myself, our sincere thanks.

This is the neatest site. I am so glad I was told about it. I
voted for the first time & was wondering about how long it will be
until the winners are announced? What a great list of local talent!
What a wonderful way to find the talent to look for on those free
nights when entertainment is a much needed addition to my day.

I'm proud to have won quite a few LVMAs over the years. The
Lehigh Valley is now, and always has been, loaded with talented folks.
It is an honor to be a part of this artistic community and recognized
by peers and people in this crazy business that is our passion. The
LVMAs
cover all aspects, not just the musicians but the people who make it
possible for us to do our jobs -- from the music stores to the
performance venues, the recording studios to the graphic designers, the
sound and lighting technicians, and many others -- no one is
overlooked. The LVMAs recognize these people and fill a void that no
other media -- including local radio, tv, electronic or newspaper --
does in as rewarding a manner. Thanks for continuing to do this for all
of us, it is greatly appreciated.

I'll be recording with George Graham (at WVIA) in the middle
of October. I can't wait! Thanks for all the help, Ian. You have been
diligent and wonderful. Is there anything I can do to help you folks
this year in regards to the LVMA? Just let me know if there's anything
I can do.

I was honored to hear I was accepted as one of the judges for
the LVMA. I take strong pride in living in an area that supports local
talent in the arts. My position with ArtsQuest and Musikfest exposes me
to many very talented local musicians and I think the LVMA is a great
way to expose these musicians to the rest of the Lehigh Valley. We have
many very talented musicians right here at home and they need to be
heard and recognized for their efforts.

When I moved up to the Lehigh Valley from Philadelphia years
ago, I was reluctant to leave all that "big city" musical talent
behind. I never realized how much talent and variety I would find here!
From straight out, head bangin' rock and roll to the finest blues
(yes!), great, intelligent pop, and even hot mandolin licks, we've got
it all, and no where else is it better represented than on the new
Lehigh Valley Music Awards CD.

Hey guys... just wondering when you will be looking for
sponsors for LVMA6? My husband has a local business and he would like
to sponsor an award, and I'm sure I can get some other people to
sponsor also.
I really think it's a great thing you have going... the local music
scene needs more attention!! There are some extremely talented
musicians right here in our backyard and you help them get the
recognition they deserve.
Thnx!!
