The

THE UNPRONOUNCEABLE
IS NOT
A MAINSTREAM POP BAND
The
unpronounceable was born out of a two-man open mic experiment
that quickly expanded into a fourman sixpiece with a penchant for
swapping instruments onstage between songs. Their music is a stylish
cocktail of the likes of Duke Ellington, Muddy Waters, and Black Sabbath,
a hip new amalgamation of the original roots of rock and roll. They
have been featured in the popular New York spotlights of Arlene Grocery,
the C-Note, 169 Bar and Makor, in the Philadelphia area at the Tin
Angel, Grape Street Pub, and The Funhouse, are featured at happening
shindigs at fine colleges and universities, and continue to work through
the wee hours in the poorly-lit side-street sub-urban watering holes.
They are the moodswing that unites old fogies and their young scallywag
barmates.
The men
and pieces of the unpronounceable are Mr. Daniel Kinsley (ivories,
guit-fiddle, bass-fiddle), Mr. Adam Gustavson (guit-fiddle, bass-fiddle),
Mr. Philip Guidi (skins and cymbals), and Mr. Pete Gustavson (guit-fiddle,
bass-fiddle, croons).
In the
summer of 2002, the unpronounceable was selected to take part in TourBaby,
the first-ever tour created by CD Baby, the 2nd-largest online retailer
of independent music, which featured the best local talent in 54 cities
across the U.S. More recently, their rockabilly romp "Ugly"
won the
2002 Lehigh Valley Music Award for Best Original Song.
All of
their CDs can be purchased at CDBaby.com.
