Electric Cheesemelt is an original band out of the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania. Their music can be described as American Homegrown Rock-n-Roll. This is an original sound that rides the edge of the far reaches of pop. Influenced by the music of the Beatles, Black Crows, Allman Brothers and Led Zeppelin, Electric Cheesemelt has been compared to the Doors without the drunken perversion. Since November 2001, the band has been focused on increasing their loyal fan base and recording new songs.

With eleven songs now recorded, a new website www.electriccheesemelt.com, and an amazing two and a half hour live set, Electric Cheesemelt is on the forefront of the local music scene and ready for nation wide promotion.

The roots of the band run deep. Founding members Bob Pursell and Joe Barrell have been playing guitar together for over ten years. Bobs' style combines full rhythms and melodic solos that you want to hum along to and Joes' unique approach combines a twelve string guitar, a little over-drive, and a wah-wah. Vocalist Charlie Madzarac has a powerful voice. He was nominated for singer of the year at the 2001 Lehigh Valley Music Awards.

The bass is zealously provided by Steve Wachter, who provides counter to the point, while grooving it in under the radar, which is necessary with two drummers in the band. Erick Black lays out a solid rhythm with a jazz flair and hard rock backbone.

This is a band of mature goal orientated musicians who have developed an unique style of song writing that conveys the talent of each musician while not taking away from the song.
